Join us in making an impact on the next generation
On December 2, 2021, In His Steps held its Annual Vision Dinner at Madison Heights Church (MS) at 7:00 p.m. The opening scripture was I Chronicles 29:10-13 – David’s Praise to God.
Our Media/Communication Specialist, Ms. Sophie Abuzeid, shared a recap video on ministry updates.
Next, our S.P.A.S.E. students gave special testimonies led by special testimonies from our volunteers.
Jasper and Carolyn followed with a presentation on “Where Do We Go From Here.” They shared awesome testimonies of how God miraculously positioned them for this time in history and all the wonderful things He has done for the ministry.
Mr. Rod Henderson closed out with ‘Ways to Partner’. These included praying for the specific needs of IHS, presenting the ministries, and participating with IHS by various means.
Community partnerships are very important to In His Steps Ministries sustainability. For the last six years, the Junior Auxiliary of Madison, MS has provided volunteers to assist IHS with onsite projects. This year they were assigned the task of decorating the IHS Agape Training Center. Thank you Junior Auxiliary, for your festive and decorative touch and for serving with us.
IHS extends an invitation to like-minded churches, civic and business volunteers to come and partner with us. Together we can achieve more. If you are interested in volunteer opportunities, contact Carolyn Bacon at cbacon@inhissteps.org or 601-859-5708. It is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35).
We are grateful for the churches that partner with us annually to accomplish our mission. This initiative is designed to support our families, but to also teach them about responsibility. Parents had the opportunity to purchase items at a discounted rate. This year we were blessed to serve 72 children and 34 families.
Many families were blessed by our annual Christmas Compassionate Store. Particularly, one grandmother who is raising her grandkids did not know how she was going to provide for the kids. She was so grateful and thankful along with others for the gifts and the food boxes that were given out to families. One mother who is raising six kids expressed how much the gifts and the food blessed their family. We are grateful that God continues to provide in helping us fulfill our mission of impacting the lives of people for His glory.
