Jasper’s Bio
In 1976, God’s sovereign plan was brought to the forefront when Jasper & Carolyn Bacon were first introduced in a Bible study where they both accepted Christ as their personal Savior. In God’s providence, they travelled separate paths from 1979 to 1983. It was God’s hand that brought them back together and joined them in marriage in 1985.
After serving in pastoral ministry for the next eight years, Jasper along with Carolyn was given a vision for outreach ministry to impact more lives for Christ. This calling was to develop a ministry which would provide strategic outreach to the unchurched and unevangelized people in the Bacon’s hometown of the Canton and surrounding communities.
In His Steps Ministries (IHS) was founded in November 1994 with the mission of ministering to at-risk youth and their families. God’s faithfulness prevailed when IHS received their 501(c)(3) non-profit status in April 1995. With the support of generous donors and the guidance of a Board of Directors, IHS purchased a fifteen-acre campus and constructed a 7,200 square foot building complete with classrooms, a computer lab, conference room, game room, multipurpose room, and administrative offices. As a result of the continued giving of supporters, IHS is currently debt free.
As the Bacons trusted God for His provisions in the past, the ministry of IHS continues to seek financial support to develop more innovative opportunities to share the love of Christ with at-risk youth. Please consider partnering with In His Steps Ministries through prayer and giving.
