Our SPASE program is in full swing this January, as our 21 students came back from Christmas break ready to grow both academically and spiritually! At the start of this new year, we took portraits of the students to give to our supporters, and they had an absolute BLAST showing off their personalities in their goofy pictures. In this post, you’ll meet 7 of our students, learn about what they enjoy, and hear some of the prayers we have for the individual students.
Name: Zavian
Age: 7
Favorite Color: Red

Zavian is definitely one of our more quiet students, but he absolutely loves talking about games he plays on his PS4. His favorite food is pizza and when he’s at home he really enjoys riding his dirt bike around his neighborhood!
Prayer: That Zavian would seek gentleness and obedience in Christ
Name: Cyleria
Age: 7
Favorite Color: Pink and Baby Blue

Cyleria is a hard worker and loves talking about all things cheering and dancing! She likes playing Uno with her friends and her favorite food is pizza. She’s obsessed with slime right now and likes to make it herself!
Prayer: That Cyleria would continue to grow in her love for others and be a light
Name: Kamijah
Age: 8

Kamijah likes to dance, watch TV, play and study, and she would really like to travel to fun places one day. She is incredibly unique and loves sharing her passions with others!
Prayer: That Kamijah’s confidence in the Lord would grow

Ricky loves helping others, and his absolute favorite thing to do is play soccer and exercise! He enjoys pepperoni pizza, especially when we have pizza for an after school snack at In His Steps.
Prayer: That Ricky would lead others to Christ with his kindness

La’Jaylen’s favorite thing to do right now is watching Peter Pan, but when it’s nice outside he also really enjoys playing tag with his best friends. He loves pizza, and one time he ate 4 pieces all by himself!
Prayer: That La’Jaylen would learn to listen to the voice of the Lord and not the voice of the world
Name: Sha’Shuana

Sha’Shuana seems shy at first, but she’ll tell you that one of her favorite things to do is talk to her best friend Jada on the phone when she gets home from In His Steps! She loves pizza and anything sparkly.
Prayer: That Sha’Shuana would know how treasured she is in Jesus

As you can see in this picture, Demeyonna really enjoys jumping and playing, and she thinks she’s a super funny person! Her favorite food is mac and cheese, and you’ll always catch this girl with a big smile on her face.
Prayer: That Demeyonna would come to know the Lord personally this year
